It started 4 days before the night in which everyone were rejoiced in the dark.

Spike: This year I will achieve breaking my candy record

I answered with an interrogative gesture

Spike: You know. Nightmare Night. Only four days left to it.

I supposed it was a holiday that, of course, was celebrated only once a year

Oni: What is... ''Nighmare Night''? 

Spike was surprised with this, I was a bit embarrassed but then he explained me everything about that holiday... or night and besides that, he told me what happened last year

Leaving the library I met with Fluttershy

Oni: Excuse me Fluttershy... that holi... night, ''Nightmare Night''...

I stopped there when I noticed that the same kindly face of her had transformed into a worry gesture

Oni: Are you okay, Fluttershy?

Fluttershy: I'm... I'm okay Oni. It's just that...

Flutty... I mean Fluttershy explained me about how she felt in every ''Nightmare Night'' and when she finished I took her hoof

Oni: Fluttershy... Could I accompany you that night?

I didn't know if it was something normal in mares or only pegasos but when I finished my question I worried

Oni: Fluttershy? Are you sure you are okay? your face, it seems like it looks dyed with a pinkish red tone

Fluttershy: Really? It's just that... Why would you waste that annual night with me?

Oni: Nightmare Night sounds fun but... Spend the night leaving you alone, knowing how you feel at that moment? I could not bear it

Fluttershy: This is not neccessary Oni. You do not need to worry about...

At that moment I held, with my two hooves, hers

Oni: Fun comes and goes, Flutty

Fluttershy: Seeing your smile... somehow I feel brave and when I am by your side, fear is non-existent

The princess pleasantly had come along with Nightmare Night.

Pumpkins were lit, games prepared and costumes walkers went out for their booty.

Spike and me would enjoy this funny night with the classic ''Trick 'n Treat''

I would take care of the ''Trick'' and he would take care of the ''Treat''.

But first I had to attend to the only thought that was in my mind the last 4 days so I headed to her house and when she opened the door, she tried to hide behind this one when she saw me

Oni: I  promised you that I would be the first thing you'd see when you open your door this night

Fluttershy: Oni? I didn't want to...

Fluttershy: We can go now

I think at that moment, you could say that the size of owlowisciou's eyes couldn't compare to mine

She turned

Fluttershy: You coming?

All the time by her side following the lights. She was looking around her very fearful (to tell the truth, sometimes  I was regretful for making her pass all that but I was not sure until the end) but she was not lying about her brave. I never doubt her

I don't know why she was doing it but every time she was afraid of something, she always took my hoof tightly and seemed to feel better. She even was hiding her head behind mine.

When we met Spike, this one showed me the candies he had collected and he offered me one

Oni: What is this?

Spike: They are candies. They are very delicious and it gives that tingling sensation to your taste buds

I looked Fluttershy to the eyes with an interrogative gesture and, by her look, she assured me it would be fine. So I tasted it and, GLOB, it was such a nice feeling like a murderer's feeling to see the expression on the face of his victim dying

With that new sensation in my mouth, we started the night as three night beings in the darkness.

It was a fun night for all three until we had to take the lighted road

Something I want to warn... no... I have to warn you, dear friend, is: Light confuses its appearance to hide the horror. We had to live it to know about it

This was nothing compared to the shadow who smiles at your side or the entity that makes you crazy twisting your mind making you scream until send your sanity to the end of the pain

This was not a shadow I've ever seen before

Oni: Fluttershy, Spike, stay right behind me

We stopped there while that shadow, which did not move, was seeing us

They were only a few seconds where I could see the horror standing below the first lamp

PUM!

The lamp exploded, ''it disappeared'' I thought. The nightmare only began

PUM! the second lamp, I could see ''it'' again

PUM! the third... the fourth... the fifth.

We were behind the last lamp, the sixth

''It'' was getting closer and closer and CLOSER

When I thought that the last light would extinguish... I was wrong

''It'' just stood in front of us marking its shadow seeing us

During those brief and spine-chilling seconds, I noticed the presence of Az at the side of ''It'' and, as you can see, this was the view he had.

I covered Fluttershy's sight with my right wing quickly and I put Spike on my back

During the silence, I could not think of anything but them and what ''it'' would do.

''it'' had us cornered and then began its sound

Oni: Don't listen to it Fluttershy, Spike!!!

I protected them with my magic but for me... it was too late

What happened that night in that same forest will be living only in my memory

Fluttershy and Spike would not be the same ones you know today if it hadn't been because I eliminated the memory of that night from their memory and I replaced it with another that never happened

I can't relate you what happened after that thing I listened and I could never forget because if I did... I could never forgive myself.
